Adolf Bill (born March 28, 1941 in Kutschawola , Kalisch district ) is a German politician ( CDU ) in Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

Adolf Bill left his home with his parents in 1945. His parents were in Meuro , Kreis Wittenberg , land reform land . Six siblings grew up with him.

After attending primary school, Bill learned the trade of a farmer and in 1960 became a member of the LPG in Meuro. From 1960 to 1963 he attended the agricultural college in Naumburg and then worked as a zoo technician in the LPG Meuro. He then worked for the Agricultural Council in Köthen and for LPG Susigke .

Bill studied from 1966 to 1969 at the University of Agriculture and Food Management in Bernburg . Then he became department head in the meat combine in Dessau .

From 1974 to 1986 Bill was a city councilor in Dessau responsible for environmental protection, water management and recreation. After the floods of 1974 he had several dikes, weirs and sluices built here. He also published the first map of the area and the landscape conservation plan for Dessau.

From 1986 to 1989 he worked in the same specialist area in the Halle district and was committed to improving the environmental situation, nature conservation and water supply.

In 1989 his doctoral thesis in the field of environmental protection was banned.

At the turn of the century , Bill was the project manager for environmental protection and water management at the then Halle-Magdeburg district authority. With the support of the environmental authority of Lower Saxony, he developed documents for the future Ministry for Environmental Protection of the State of Saxony-Anhalt and the offices attached to it.

From 1994 to 2003 Adolf Bill worked in the Dessau administrative region as head of a special team for water and sewage.

Adolf Bill has been married to Renate Lampert since 1965 and has four children. He's a Roman Catholic.

Adolf Bill became a member of the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany (DBD) in 1963 . With the merging of the DBD in the CDU (East) and this in the CDU , Bill became a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany in 1990. From 1990 to 1996 he was a member of the state board of the CDU Saxony-Anhalt. From 1998 to 2003, Adolf Bill was chairman of the CDU district association in Dessau.

In 1990 Adolf Bill was directly elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt and was a member of it until 1994. He was the environmental policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. During this term, a. the new water law, nature conservation law and waste law on the way. Bill was also a member of the federal environmental committee. Here he was particularly committed to the establishment of the Federal Environment Agency in Saxony-Anhalt and especially in Dessau. As the regional political spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for the Anhalt region, Bill succeeded in consolidating Dessau as a regional center and in initiating several regional settlements, such as courts, the regional audit office and the regional council at the time.

In 1993, Adolf Bill founded the Dessau-Wörlitzer Gartenreich Förderverein together with Gert Hoffmann, President of the Government at the time, and became its deputy chairman. He still holds this office today. He is responsible for member recruitment and the procurement of funding.

The association made the restoration of the historic restaurant "Zum Eichenkranz" its main task and began to collect funding of 4–5 million euros. The renovation work ended in 2015, but concerts and other events were held regularly in the halls of the restaurant even before the main building was finally completed.
