Adolf Friedrich von Walcker

Adolf Friedrich von Walcker (born June 2, 1830 in Tübingen , † February 17, 1896 in Schwäbisch Hall ) was a German Protestant theologian and politician .

Life

Born the son of a businessman, Walcker studied Protestant theology in Tübingen. During his studies in 1848 he became a member of the Normannia Tübingen fraternity . After completing his studies, he became vicar of the deanery in Weil im Schönbuch in 1854 , parish vicar in Welzheim in 1857, parish administrator in Emmingen in 1861, and in Rötenberg in 1863, and in Göppingen in 1864 . In 1874 he became city and garrison pastor in Schwäbisch Gmünd as well as a member of the Protestant regional synod , initially for Göppingen, from 1879 for Aalen and from 1888 for Ludwigsburg . In 1881 he became dean in Besigheim and in 1887 in Ludwigsburg. From 1890 he was general superintendent and prelate of Schwäbisch Hall . From 1889 to 1896 he was a member of the Württemberg state parliament , where he belonged to the Free Association .
