Adolf Schmidtsdorff (born February 19, 1878 in Dombrowka, Posen Province , † April 3, 1945 in Manow or in May 1943 in Zewelin ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Schmidtsdorff attended elementary school and a humanistic high school in Lissa in Posen. He later completed an agricultural apprenticeship. He also attended the high agricultural school in Samter . From 1897 to 1898 Schmidtsdorff was a one-year volunteer with the 1st Posenen Field Artillery Regiment No. 20 . He then worked as a civil servant in agriculture. From January 18, 1901, he was a lieutenant in the reserve. On July 1, 1909, he became a leaseholder in Ottenburg in the Rößel district . On May 17, 1910, he became a lieutenant in the reserve.

From August 1914 to 1917 Schmidtsdorff took part in the First World War with the 1st Division , of which he was a captain of the field artillery . In 1918 Schmidtsdorff joined the economic advisory board at the Tauroggen district office in the military government of Lithuania .

On September 15, 1923 Schmidtsdorff became a tenant tenant in Manow in the Köslin district . In 1930 he became a member of the district council, and later also of the district committee. In 1931 Schmidtsdorff became a member and in 1932 a board member of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Pomerania Province . In addition, he was a member of the board of the Kreissparkasse in his home country. He also became Head of Department II of the Pomeranian Peasantry.

In 1930 Schmidtsdorff joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). In the Reichstag elections of July 1932 Schmidtsdorff was a candidate of the Nazi Party for the constituency 6 (Pomerania) in the Reichstag voted, where he remained until March 1936th The most important parliamentary event in which he took part during his time as a member of parliament was the passing of the Enabling Act , which was also passed with Schmidtsdorff's vote, among other things. Schmidtsdorff was NSDAP district leader for Köslin until August 1934 and a member of the Reichsbauernrat until November 1934 .
