Adolfo Miguel Castaño Fonseca

Adolfo Miguel Castaño Fonseca (born September 27, 1962 in San Mateo Mozoquilpan , State of México , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Azcapotzalco .

Life

Adolfo Miguel Castaño Fonseca received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Toluca on March 19, 1987 .

On June 22nd, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Vadesi and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Mexico City . The Archbishop of Mexico City, Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera , ordained him and Andrés Vargas Peña as episcopal on July 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio to Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , and the Archbishop of San Luis Potosí , Luis Morales Reyes .

Pope Francis appointed him on September 28, 2019 as the first bishop of the diocese of Azcapotzalco, established on the same date . The inauguration took place on November 7, 2019.
