Adriana Johanna Haanen
Adriana Johanna Haanen (born June 15, 1814 in Oosterhout , † August 10, 1895 in Oosterbeek ) was a Dutch flower and still life painter .
Life
Adriana Haanen was the daughter of the art dealer , restorer and genre painter Casparis Haanen (1778–1849) and Isabella Johanna Sangster (1777–1846). She was one of six children and the second daughter in the family. Her siblings, who also went down in art history, were the landscape painter George Gillis Haanen , the landscape painter Elisabeth Alida Haanen and the landscape painter Remigius Adrianus Haanen .
She was trained by her father Casparis Haanen. She stayed in Utrecht , Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and Oosterbeek. Her pictures have been exhibited in The Hague , Bremen , Paris , Antwerp , Brussels , Vienna and other cities. She painted with watercolors and oils. In 1855 she was accepted into the Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam. Her subjects were still lifes, flowers, fruits, figures and landscapes. In 1870 she built a house in Oosterbeek, where she lived until her death on August 10, 1895. She was born in the St. Bernulphuskerk ”buried in Oosterbeek.
She signed her works with “A. Haanen "," Adriana Haanen ". Her monogram was "AH".
Some of her works can be found in the Amsterdam museums “Historisch Museum”, “Museum Willet-Holthuysen”, Rijksmuseum and at the “Instituut Collectie Nederland”. Some of her pictures were auctioned at Christie's .

- 1845: Honorary member of the Koninklijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
- 1862: Gold medal for "Levende Meisters" in Amsterdam, for her picture Julij rozen
