Adriano Soldini
Adriano Soldini (born May 21, 1921 in Novazzano ; † February 5, 1989 in Lugano ) was a Swiss educator and writer .
Life
Adriano Soldini was the son of the teacher Erminio Soldini and his wife Elisabetta.
He attended the Salesian College in Maroggia and the College of St. Michael in Freiburg , where he received his licentiate in Italian literature .
From 1959 to 1971 he was an Italian teacher at the Progymnasium and Gymnasium in Lugano and became its rector in 1963 ; he remained in this position until 1971.
In 1963 he became head of the Lugano Cantonal Library ; In 1978 he was able to acquire the important estate of the writer and publisher Giuseppe Prezzolini .
Adriano Soldini was also active as an author and edited , among other things, the prose volume Le strade rosse , in which the literature of Ticino and Lombardy are at the center, including styles by Francesco Chiesa , Giovan Battista Angioletti and Piero Banconi . In his volume of essays Gli stivali di Ippolito ed altri saggi , the cultural environment of Italy receives attention.
Adriano Soldini married Rosanna (née Bianchi) in 1953.
