The Aero A.38 , presented in 1929, is a commercial aircraft produced by the Czechoslovak company Aero .
construction
The A.38 combined various features of earlier models. The tail unit and the wings came from the Aero A.23 . The chassis and fuselage are from the Aero A.35 . However, the A.38 was not a high- wing aircraft with braced wings like the A.35, but a double-decker . The fuselage was lengthened so that there was space for a total of eight passengers, a maximum of nine instead of the co-pilot. Entry was through a door on both sides of the fuselage. The seats were arranged in rows of two. A toilet and a luggage compartment were located in the stern.
commitment
Aero produced eight aircraft. Six machines went to the Czechoslovak airline ČSA as Aero A.38-1 . The other two with Gnome-Rhone Jupiter 9A2 - radial engines bought the Air France as Aero A.38-2.
