After Life is a British television series based on an idea and script by Ricky Gervais . It was first published on Netflix on March 9, 2019. On April 24, 2020, the second season, also comprising six episodes, was released on Netflix. In May 2020, the series was extended for a third season.

After the wife of the local journalist Tony died of breast cancer , he took refuge in a new personality. Formerly a nice guy, Tony gets gruff and impulsive. He wants to punish the world by only doing what he wants. In doing so, he is hindered by his personal environment, which tries to make him a better person again.
