Agnes Katharina Maxsein (born December 4, 1904 in Cadenbach im Westerwald , † October 31, 1991 in Berlin ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Life and work

After graduation on the Oberlyzeum in Frankfurt studied Maxsein, the Roman Catholic faith was, philosophy, French and English in Frankfurt , Giessen and Berlin . In 1930 she received her doctorate in philosophy. In 1936 she passed the state examination in education, but was only accepted into the civil service as a student councilor in 1945 after the end of Nazi rule . As early as 1947 she was promoted to director of studies and since 1951 has been a high school councilor at the Hauptschulamt in Berlin. In 1985 she was named Berlin City Elder.

Maxsein participated in the founding of the CDU Berlin and was its deputy state chairman from 1946 to 1948.
