Fuad Mohieddin
Ahmed Fuad Mohieddin (also Ahmad Fuad Muhi ad-Din ; Arabic أحمد فؤاد محيي الدين; * February 16, 1926 ; † June 5, 1984 in Cairo ) was Prime Minister of Egypt from January 2, 1982 until his death on June 5, 1984 . He belonged to the National Democratic Party .
Between 1968 and 1973 Fuad Mohieddin was governor in the governorates of Sharkia , Alexandria and Giza . He then joined the Egyptian state government as Minister for Local Administration; In 1974 he became Minister of Health. He was also a member of the Egyptian parliament, where he was chairman of the foreign affairs committee. In 1978 he was appointed deputy prime minister by President Anwar al-Sadat , before taking over the post of prime minister in 1982, previously held by his cousin Zakaria Mohieddin .
Shortly after his party achieved great success in the 1984 general election, he died of a heart attack at the desk in his study.
