After the establishment of a household , Ahmose was transferred to a new ship and fought as a foot soldier and as a marine in the siege of the Hyksos capital Auaris . The attack on the city was carried out with several surprise attacks , in which one quickly made prey and then withdrew in a flash. Ahmose killed several enemies and earned a total of three gold medals and slaves as spoils of war .

“When the city of Auaris was besieged, I showed my valor as a foot warrior before His Majesty. Then I was appointed to the ship Appeared in Memphis [the King's ship]. They fought at sea on the Pa Djedku Canal of Auaris. Then I took booty, a hand [that had been cut from a slain enemy], they reported it to the royal reporter and they gave me the gold of valor. "

- Ahmose's grave inscription

After taking Auaris, he took part in the three-year siege of the well-fortified city of Sharuhe in southern Palestine , during which he again captured slaves and received gold for bravery.

When the Asian tribes in the north were defeated, he took part in a campaign in Lower Nubia and in the suppression of a Nubian uprising. In Middle Egypt there was an uprising of the commandant Tetian , which he also defeated.

Under Amenophis I and Thutmose I there were further military advances to the south, in the course of which Ahmose rose to become the highest naval officer.
