Aidis Kruopis (born October 26, 1986 ) is a Lithuanian track and road cyclist .

Athletic career

Aidis Kruopis grew up in Klaipeda .

Kruopis achieved his first successes on the track: in 2005 and 2006 he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit with the Lithuanian track four ( Simas Kundrotas , Ignatas Konovalovas and Gediminas Bagdonas ) . In 2007 he received his first contract with the local Continental Team Klaipeda-Splendid . In the following year, he won several important one-day races or individual tour stages, such as the traditional Belgian race Schaal Sels Merksem in 2011 and 2012 as well as a stage of the Tour of Belgium . In 2012 he won a stage of the Tour of Norway and the Tour of Poland , in 2013 a stage of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey and in 2014 two stages of An Post Rás . In 2014 he was also national road racing champion. In 2016 he won the overall ranking and two stages of the Paris-Arras Tour ,
