Air Liquide is a German techno formation, consisting of Ingmar Koch ("Dr. Walker") and Cem Oral ("Jammin 'Unit", later founder of the Ultrahigh project ) that was founded in 1991. Koch and Oral released other records under the pseudonyms Madonna 303 and Jammin 'Unit & Walker .

history

Oral and Koch met in 1991 in a recording studio in Frankfurt am Main . After a large number of jam sessions in Koch's studio, the duo's first EP, Neue Frankfurter Elektronik Schule , was released in 1992 on the Cologne record label Blue, which Koch and Oral had founded together with the musician Jörg Burger . Oral and Koch founded the acid techno label Structure in 1991 with Burger and Wolfgang Voigt .

Koch's former friend Mary Susan Applegate contributed lyrics and vocals for some pieces of music .

Air Liquide were particularly known for their live acts in the mid-1990s. The band broke up in 2005 after the previous album Let Your Ears Be the Receiver was released.

Since 2012 the group has performed live again at various festivals.
