Ultimately, he had to admit defeat with his club 1: 2. 1983 was all the more successful when after the renewed entry into the final for the Soviet Army Cup FK Tschirpan was defeated with a 3-1 final success and the club returned as the second division champions in the A Grupa. For the first time in twelve years, the team had qualified again for a tournament, where Sadakov had, among other things, participated in the 2-0 victory over the reigning European champions after goals from Nasko Sirakow and the future French professional Georgi Dimitrov . Third in the group behind eventual world champions Argentina and reigning world champions Italy , against whom they played 1: 1 at the start, the team reached the round of 16, in which they were eliminated by hosts Mexico . During the tournament, he had appeared in all four games.
Until the collapse of the Eastern Bloc in 1989, Sadakov Lokomotive remained loyal to Plovdiv before he moved to Portugal to Belenenses Lisbon .
