Akim Ramoul (born January 25, 1986 in Geleen ) is a Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Bulldogs de Liège in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2016 .

Career

Clubs

Akim Ramoul began his career with the Eaters Geleen from his hometown, for whom he played in the Dutch honor division as a 16-year-old . At the turn of the year 2002/03 he moved to the Cologne EC in the German junior league, in which he was active for one and a half seasons. Then he dared the jump across the pond and joined the Texarkana Bandits from the North American Hockey League . He returned to Germany in 2005 and played for the Revierlöwen Oberhausen in the third-class league for a year . In 2006 he returned to his hometown Geleen to the Eaters in the honor division. After playing for the Nijmegen Devils in 2008/09 , with whom he won the Dutch Cup , and from 2009 to 2011 for the Eindhoven Kemphanen , he was drawn back to his home club. With the Eaters, he won his first Dutch championship title in 2012. From 2015 he played with the team from the province of Limburg in the newly created BeNe League , a merger of the two honorary divisions from the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2016 he moved to Belgian league rivals Bulldogs de Liège and in 2017 he became the league's best preparer.

International

In the junior division, Ramoul played for the Dutch offspring at the U18 World Championships in 2003 and 2004 and at the U20 World Championships in 2004 , 2005 and 2006 in Division II.

With the Dutch men's selection , he took part in the Division I World Championships in 2007 and 2009 in Division I.
