Alain Castet (born May 10, 1950 in Floirac , Gironde , France ) is a French clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Luçon .

Life

Alain Castet received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Paris on June 28, 1975 from the Archbishop of Paris, François Cardinal Marty .

On April 14, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Luçon. The Archbishop of Paris, André Cardinal Vingt-Trois , donated him episcopal ordination on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Obuasi , Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye , and the Bishop of Digne , François-Xavier Loizeau .

Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on October 12, 2017.
