François Joseph Marie Jacolin MDP (born April 25, 1950 in Fontainebleau ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Luçon .

Life

François Jacolin was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Bourges on April 4, 1982 . Later came Congregation of the Missionaries of La Plaine in and put the profession on September 30 1987th

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on January 16, 2007 Bishop of Mende . The Archbishop of Montpellier , Guy Thomazeau , ordained him episcopal on March 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Robert Le Gall OSB , Archbishop of Toulouse and his predecessor in Mende, and Hubert Barbier , Archbishop of Bourges. As a motto he chose Par la confiance et l'amour (last sentence of the autobiography of St. Therese of Lisieux ).

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Luçon on May 29, 2018. The inauguration took place on July 15 of the same year.
