Alain Debiossat

Alain Debiossat (* 1958 in Poitou-Charentes ) is a French jazz and fusion musician ( tenor saxophone , also guitar , soprano , alto and baritone saxophone , composition ).

Act

Debiossat moved to Paris in 1980, where he studied guitar and saxophone at the CIM (Center d'informations musicales) . Since it was founded in 1984 he has been a saxophonist in the Sixun group , with whom he toured internationally and released various albums until 1995. Since 1997 he has been a member of the Orchester National de Barbès , for which he also composed. Debiossat also played with the quintet by Zool Fleischer and the big band by Antoine Hervé , later with Karim Ziad , Michel Alibo , Nguyên Lê (Maghreb & Friends) and Post Image . He also accompanies Élisabeth Caumont , Cheb Mami , Alma Rosa and Coco Mbassi .

Prizes and awards

In 1984 Debiossat won the Soloist Prize at the La Défense National Jazz Competition , which enabled him to perform in many Parisian clubs with his Point G quartet .
