The MZKT-7919 ( Russian МЗКТ-7919 ) was produced as a heavy all-wheel-drive truck (12 × 12) from the late 1980s to the 1990s first by the Belarusian manufacturer Minski Avtomobilny Sawod with the designation MAZ-7919 ( Russian МАЗ- 7919 ) and should serve as a chassis for mobile intercontinental missile systems. Production later went to the newly founded Minski Sawod Koljosnych Tjagatschei . It is the successor to the MAZ-7917 .

Vehicle history

In the Soviet Union , mobile transport and launch ramps for medium and long-range missiles gained an increasingly important role from the late 1970s, until the importance of such vehicles apparently lost importance in the context of various disarmament treaties between the two large military units. In order to enable existing development results and production experience to be used for civil purposes, the MAZ-7919 was presented in 1988, which clearly had non-military customers as its target group in the manufacturer's sales material in the early 1990s. Aufgrung the off-road capability, the manufacturer provides uses as oilfield vehicle , in particular as the basis for mobile drilling rigs and mobile cranes .

technical description

The MZKT-7919 and the MAZ-7919 are six-axle all-wheel drive vehicles, but they differ from one another in terms of ground clearance and wheelbase . The most obvious difference, however, is in the driver's cab , which in the MAZ-7919 was a new creation by the MAZ factory, as the typical, centrally-split driver's cabs of the previous versions, which were used purely for military purposes, are not in use in a civil version. In addition, the two-door driver's cab offered two seats and sleeping space . The later MZKT versions use cabins that are supplied by Minski Avtomobilny Sawod and correspond to those of the MAZ-5336 . They are also used in the same form in other trucks made by the manufacturer. V12 diesel engines from JaMZ are installed in both versions ; the most modern version, MZKT-791910, uses the engine type JaMZ-8401.10, which has an output of 650 hp at 2100 min-1. The truck is currently offered with the drive formulas 12 × 12 and 12 × 10. The front three of the six axles are steerable.
