The MZKT-8021 ( Russo МЗКТ-8021 ) is a vehicle model of the Belarusian manufacturer MZKT . It was developed in the 2000s primarily for the Pechora 2M air defense system. In addition, a two-axle vehicle is being built as the MZKT-8022 .

Development history

The MZKT-8021 vehicle family was developed in the 2000s as the basis for the Pechora-2M anti-aircraft missile complex. There are two variants for this, the MZKT-802110 and the MZKT-802100, which is about 50 cm lower. The MZKT-802100 acts as a mobile launch pad with the designation 5P73-2M. The MZKT-802110 is the base vehicle of the SNR-125-2M radar. Both three-axle truck types, which are over ten meters long, have all-wheel drive (6 × 6). One serves as a drive V8 four-stroke - diesel engine type Jamz 75117.10, of the Russian Yaroslavsky Zavod Motorny is manufactured. With a displacement of 14.86 liters, it develops 400 hp (294 kW) and has a maximum torque of 1715 Nm. It meets the Euro 2 emissions standard. Alternatively, a Deutz BFM1015C diesel engine should be available. Both versions have a mechanical gearbox from in-house production with nine forward gears and one reverse gear. If the vehicles are fully utilized, the axle loads can be a little more than ten tons. The three-seater driver's cab is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic and designed for use in hot and cold climates. The material is not susceptible to corrosion and has a high level of heat and sound insulation. The cab can be tilted to simplify engine maintenance. Due to their dimensions and total weight, both variants can be air-loaded with the aircraft types An-124 and An-22 without any problems and can therefore be used quickly worldwide.
