The Wisconsin State Highway 59 runs in a west-east direction through the center of the Town of Albany. The eastern border of the town is formed by Wisconsin State Highway 104 . County Highway E runs north-south through the town. All other roads are subordinate country roads and some unpaved roads.
The Sugar River State Trail runs through the Town of Albany , a rail trail for hikers and cyclists that follows the route of a former railway line . In winter, the hiking trail can also be used with snowmobiles.
The nearest airport is Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin's capital Madison (around 55 km north).
