Albert Schlangen (born February 4, 1918 in Düsseldorf , † November 26, 1966 in Cologne ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and high school , he completed an apprenticeship for the higher service and in 1942 passed the examination as a Reichsbahn inspector. Schlangen was in the Reich Labor Service , in military service and as a prisoner of war. He worked as a civil servant at the Cologne Federal Railway Directorate. He was married and had two children.

Member of the county council of the former district Bergheim (Erft) he was from 1961 From 7 April 1961 to 14 October 1964, he was until 1966. District Administrator of the district. From 1954 to 1966 he was a member of the municipal council of the municipality of Morkenharff or Kaster . Schlangen was mayor of the city of Kaster from 1956 to 1966 . He was also a member of the landscape assembly of the Rhineland Regional Council and was active in numerous committees of the North Rhine-Westphalia district council.

Albert-Schlangen-Strasse in Bedburg bears his name.
