Albert Schrötteringk (* 1649 in Hamburg ; † September 19, 1716 there ) was a German businessman and Hamburg senior citizen .

Origin and family

Schrötteringk was a son of the lawyer Albert Schrötteringk (1613–1672) from his marriage to Wolmar Rumpff († 1661) and a grandson of the senior elder in the parish of Sankt Petri Jürgen Schrötteringk (1551–1631).

His marriage to Monica Nummels seems to have remained childless.

Live and act

Schrötteringk established himself as a businessman in Hamburg. On November 7, 1698 he was elected among the so-called fifties , a deputation of 50 citizens, which was supposed to settle the disputes between the citizenship and the senate . This deputation lasted until the Imperial Commission was set up on May 31, 1708. However, the disputes were only ended in 1712 by the main recession. On November 25, 1700 Schrötteringk was elected to the Chamber of Accounts . This was used to have all administrative accounts checked by the elected deputies, consisting of a senior citizen and two citizens from each parish, with the assistance of sworn accountants . In 1702 Schrötteringk was elected to the jurate and on May 22, 1704 to the amnesty deputation . This deputation was supposed to investigate what had happened between the Senate and the citizenship in the unrest after the so-called Vocations-Renovations-Streit , which arose in 1701 after the appointment of Pastor Johann Friedrich Mayer to Greifswald , how these incidents could be eliminated and prevented in the future could. The deputation should also draft rules for the citizens' conventions. On September 6, 1704 Schrötteringk became war commissioner . In 1707 he was elected deacon and civil judge at the lower court .

On June 8, 1771 Schrötteringk was elected senior elder in the parish of Sankt Nikolai for the deceased Jakob Brommer († 1711) . As such, he was sworn corpse and in 1716 President of the College of the Elderly. After his death, Patrik Bey († 1723) was elected as his successor as senior elder.
