Alberto Campos Hernández

Alberto Campos Hernández OFM (born June 5, 1951 in Fresnillo ) is a Mexican clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church and emeritus Vicar Apostolic of San José de Amazonas .

Life

Alberto Campos Hernández joined the religious order of the Franciscans and was ordained a priest on August 2, 1979 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Bishop of Vicus Augusti and Apostolic Vicar of San José de Amazonas on January 17, 1998 . He was ordained episcopal on May 30th of the same year by the Archbishop of Guadalajara , Juan Cardinal Sandoval Íñiguez ; Co-consecrators were Manuel Romero Arvizu OFM, Prelate of Jesús María del Nayar , and Lorenzo Rodolfo Guibord Lévesque OFM, Emeritus Vicar Apostolic of San José de Amazonas.

On August 8, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation.
