Albrecht Krafft (born February 25, 1816 in Vienna ; † May 23, 1847 there ) was an Austrian orientalist and art writer.

His father was the painter Johann Peter Krafft and his sister the painter Marie Krafft .

Albrecht attended the Schottengymnasium , studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna , at the Kk Academy for Oriental Languages and the University of Vienna Oriental languages ​​and literature. In 1845 he went to the Imperial and Royal Court Library as a scriptor . His work on the catalog of oriental manuscripts and the catalog of the gallery in the Belvedere remained unfinished due to his early death. He was a member of the Asian Society in Paris and the Archaeological Society of Athens .

He married Karoline († 1893; the daughter of the court art and music dealer Heinrich Friedrich Müller († 1847) in Vienna). Her son, Guido Krafft , became an agronomist.
