Alcide Giuseppe Marina CM (born March 24, 1887 in Santimento , Province of Piacenza , Italy , † September 18, 1950 ) was an Italian religious , Roman Catholic archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Alcide Giuseppe Marina joined the Congregation of the Vincentians at and received on 18 December 1909, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 7, 1936, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Heliopolis in Phenicia and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Persia . Cardinal Secretary of State Eugenio Cardinal Pacelli donated him episcopal ordination on May 24th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop Emeritus of Lima , Emilio Juan Francisco Lissón y Chávez CM, and the Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Archbishop Celso Costantini . On April 18, 1945, Pope Pius XII appointed him. to the Apostolic Delegate in Turkey . From 1945 to 1947 Marina was also Apostolic Administrator of the Apostolic Vicariate Istanbul . Alcide Giuseppe Marina became Apostolic Nuncio in Lebanon on March 22, 1947 .
