Aldo Bufi Landi (born April 7, 1923 in Naples ; † February 2, 2016 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Bufi Landi is the son of the journalist Amedeo Bufi, who died in 1930 . He began his acting career with Eduardo and Peppinos I De Filippo and on local stages, where he played in "Avanspettacoli" in smaller, often dialectic pieces and had some success. Tanned, mustache, handsome and personable, he quickly attracted the attention of film producers, who from 1946 onwards used him in works with Neapolitan hues that were popular with audiences in southern Italy, such as Malaspina and La figlia della Madonna . This great success lasted for a decade; then Bufi Landi ventured into other genres, where he often took on the role of sidekick or a character representation in adventure and mythological films as well as light comedies ; Worth mentioning is his “ Rudolph Valentino ” in Francesco Rosi's Auf St. Pauli the devil is loose . In addition to these steady film engagements, which continued until the mid-1970s, Bufi Landi only played occasionally for television. Since 1988 he has only been seen in films three times.

As a pseudonym he used Al Landy and John Levery .

He was married to Clara Bindi .
