Aled Jones MBE (born December 29, 1970 in Bangor ) is a Welsh pop and classical music singer and radio host .
biography
Aled Jones had his first successes in the pop business as a 15-year-old. With his debut album All Through the Night he rose to number 2 in the UK charts and with a re-recording of the song Walking in the Air , which was previously released on the soundtrack of the cartoon The Snowman , he reached the top 5 in the single charts . In the same year he was also represented on the single Pictures in the Dark by Mike Oldfield . In the following two years he had a few more successful albums, then the broken voice interrupted his career. Jones studied at the Royal Academy of Music in the following years and appeared in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1995 . After that he was also a presenter for classic programs at Classic FM and the BBC .
In the early 2000s, he began again with album releases, which were regularly placed in the charts.
In June 2013 he was awarded the MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for his services .
His daughter Emilia Jones (* 2002) works as an actress.
