Aleksandr Karapetjan ( Armenian Ալեքսանդր Կարապետյան ; born December 23, 1987 in Tbilisi ) is an Armenian football player who plays for FK Sochi in the Russian Premier League .

Club career

Karapetjan played in his youth for TuS Lindenholzhausen, SV Wiesbaden , PSV Grün-Weiß Wiesbaden and SV Gonsenheim .

Active area

After a total of three seasons in the reserve teams of SV Wehen Taunusstein and SV Wehen Wiesbaden , Karapetjan moved to FC Oberneuland in the Bremen League in summer 2009 . Only one season later it went on to the Regionalliga Südwest for SV 07 Elversberg and FC 08 Homburg . In January 2012 he joined the Luxembourg club F91 Dudelange and has meanwhile been awarded to CS Grevenmacher . In the winter of 2016, he moved to Victoria Rosport after having been without a club for six months and during this time tried to gain a foothold in German professional football.

For the 2017/18 season he moved on to league rivals Progres Niederkorn , where he eliminated Scottish record champions Glasgow Rangers (0-1, 2-0) with his new team in his first two competitive games in the first qualifying round for the UEFA Europa League . In 23 games of the season he scored 28 goals for the Luxembourg runners-up.

In July 2019, the change of the striker to the Russian first division club FK Sochi was announced.

For F91 Dudelange and Progres Niederkorn , he played a total of 13 games (0 goals) in the Champions League qualification and in the qualification for the Europa League.

National team

Since 2014 he has played 13 international matches for Armenia , scoring five goals.
