The FC Victoria Rosport is a Luxembourgian football club . Home is the VictoriArena in Rosport . The club colors are red and white.

history

Victoria Rosport was founded on October 1, 1928. In 1930 the club was accepted into the Luxembourg Football Association and took part in league operations for the first time. In the 1937/1938 season he was promoted to the 2nd division (4th league), but in 1940 games at Victoria had to be stopped due to the occupation of Luxembourg by the Wehrmacht. In 1945 the association was re-established.

He first played in the 3rd Division (5th League). In the 1969/1970 season he rose to the 1st division for the first time. Another promotion in 1987 to the honorary doctorate was followed in 1999 by relegation to the 1st division. In the following season, the direct promotion succeeded, and in the 2001/2002 season Rosport rose for the first time in the National Division, the highest Luxembourg league.

With a fourth place in the 2004/05 season, Rosport was allowed to participate in the UI Cup the following season . There they were eliminated in the first round when they lost to IFK Göteborg with 1: 2 and 1: 3.

In the 2007/08 season, Victoria and German coach Rainer Brinsa lost 4-1 to CS Grevenmacher in the final of the Coupe de Luxembourg . In addition, the club rose from the national division. After placings between 4th and 8th place in the honorary doctorate, he returned to the national division in 2014 by winning the championship.

Women's soccer

Victoria Rosport has been participating in women's football since 2006. In 2014 and 2016 she was promoted to the Dames Ligue 1 (1st division). In the 2016/17 season they reached the cup final for the first time, which they lost 4-1 to FC Mamer 32 .
