Alexander Biller

Alexander Biller (born July 31, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German basketball coach .

Life

Biller was a trainer at TSG Bergedorf . As an assistant coach of the Bergedorf B youth team, he contributed to winning the North German Championship.

He worked as a youth coach at BCJ Hamburg in the late 1990s and early 2000s . He led the Hamburg A youth team in the 2000/01 season at the German championship to third place, and in the 2001/02 season he was assistant to head coach Pat Elzie at the Hamburg men's team, which was led by Elzie and Biller Won championship title in the 2nd Basketball Bundesliga North, but was subsequently downgraded to the regional league for economic reasons. At the same time as his club activities, Biller also worked as a trainer for the Hamburg Basketball Association from 1996 to 2001 . From 2002 to 2005 he looked after the team of the MTV Itzehoe (at that time 2nd regional league) and from 2004 also had a coaching position at the Basketball Association Schleswig-Holstein (BVSH). At BVSH he looked after the boys born in 1990. In the 2005/06 season Biller was the coach of the Baskets Hamburg, with which the attempt was made in the regional league to lay the foundation for a Hamburg Bundesliga team. The team's Bundesliga plans did not come true. From 2005 to 2007 Biller also worked again as a regional trainer for the Hamburg Basketball Association and in 2006 also worked as an assistant trainer for the German U16 national team.

In the summer break of 2007 he took up the post of head coach of TV Lich ( 2nd Bundesliga ProA ), and he was awarded a two-year contract by Central Hesse. After he had led the young Licher team to relegation in the second highest German division in 2007/08, the 2008/09 season, in which his team was temporarily weak, was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . This ended Billers Licher's tenure, he then took up the post of head coach at the Bundesliga relegated Giants Nördlingen on July 1, 2009 . In January 2010 Biller was dismissed in Nördlingen after eight defeats in a row.

At the beginning of the 2010/11 game year he coached the Dukes Wolfenbüttel in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB, during the season there was a separation between Biller and Lower Saxony. He returned to Hamburg and took up a position as commercial manager in the administration of TSG Bergedorf.
