Alexander Magnus von Kunow

Alexander Magnus von Kunow (* 1694 ; † 1740 ) was a Prussian district administrator and court marshal . Until his death he headed the Greifenhagen district in Western Pomerania .

He came from the noble Kunow family . His father Chordt Friedrich von Kunow (1665–1697) was the heir to Kunow near Bahn and Mollin. His mother was born von Dossow .

He studied at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) .

Before 1723 he was the district administrator of the Greifenhagen district . He was also court marshal of the margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt , held the title of a secret council and was governor of the margrave in Schwedt and Wildenbruch . He remained district administrator until his death. Gustav Eberhard von Greiffenpfeil succeeded him in office as district administrator .

In 1719 he married a daughter of Hofrat Friedrich Wilhelm Vorstius . In 1724 he received the Langenhagen and Schwochow estates from his father-in-law. In 1735 he also succeeded in acquiring the Kunow estate near Bahn in the Pyritz district , which his family had previously only owned in part. He left a son.
