Joachim Abraham von Oesterling

Joachim Abraham von Oesterling (born August 18, 1724 in Groß Küssow , Pyritz district ; † August 28, 1783 ) was a Prussian district administrator in Western Pomerania .

Life

Joachim Abraham von Oesterling was a son of the district administrator and landowner Samuel von Oesterling (1700–1736) and his wife Elisabeth Gottliebe, née von Küssow . His grandfather Ernst Christian von Oesterling was raised to the nobility in 1670 as Major General of Mecklenburg and in 1686 acquired Groß Küssow in the Pyritz district in Western Pomerania .

Joachim Abraham von Oesterling studied law at the University of Königsberg for three years from 1743 . From 1752 he was district administrator of the Greifenhagen district in Hinterpommern, although he did not own any property in that district. He sold his Groß Küssow estate in the Pyritz district in 1752 to the later Lieutenant General Karl Christoph von der Goltz . Oesterling later owned the Lindow estate, then the Klützow estate in the Pyritz district. In 1773 he exchanged his office as district administrator of the Greifenhagen district with that of the district administrator of the Pyritz district. Franz von Steinaecker succeeded him as district administrator of the Greifenhagen district .

He died in 1783. August Ernst von Schöning succeeded him as district administrator for the Pyritz district . The Klützow estate was in debt when he died and was taken over by his son.
