Franz von Steinaecker (District Administrator, 1750)

Franz Christian Gottlob Freiherr von Steinaecker (born December 14, 1750 in Haldem ; † March 31, 1832 in Rosenfelde ) was a Prussian district administrator in Western Pomerania who headed the Greifenhagen district from 1774 .

Life

Franz came from the Steinaecker family, which had been noble since 1637 . His father Franz Christian Bruno Freiherr von Steinaecker († 1750) was the heir to Haldem in Westphalia . His mother Anna Louise was born von Sydow . His older brother Friedrich Wilhelm von Steinaecker became district administrator in the Prussian duchy of Magdeburg .

Steinaecker grew up in Pomerania , where his mother had moved with him after his father's death. From 1759 to 1763 he attended the Brandenburg Knight Academy . He served in the Prussian Army for some time , but had to give up the soldier profession for health reasons. In 1773 he bought the Klein Zarnow estate in the Greifenhagen district in Western Pomerania from a relative on his mother's side from the von Sydow family .

In 1774 he was elected as the successor to the late Joachim Abraham von Oesterling to the district administrator of the Greifenhagen district and appointed by the king.

In 1779 he bought Rosenfelde , also in the district , where he took up residence. In 1785 he sold Klein Zarnow.

He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle . Steinaecker was a member of the Greiffenhagener Masonic lodge "Franz zum Treuen Herzen".

Steinaecker married Countess Henriette von Sparr on December 14, 1772 . The following children were born from this marriage:

In his second marriage in 1788 he married the widow of the cabinet councilor Johann Christian Friedrich Stelter .
