Alexander Porechkin

Alexander Poretschkin (* 1949 in Oberwesel ) is a German lawyer and ministerial official .

Life

Poretschkin attended schools in Bonn and Koblenz as well as the Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye in France and after graduating from high school in 1967 did military service in the Bundeswehr (last rank: Colonel of the Army Reserve ).

He then studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and passed both state exams. From 1978 to 1989 he worked as a judge and public prosecutor , most recently at the Bonn Regional Court . In 1989 he joined the Federal Ministry of Defense , where a. a. entrusted with the fight against corruption and later with the establishment of the troop service jurisdiction in Potsdam. In 1991 he was at Armin A. Stone ridge in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich with a thesis on civil defense as a constitutional mandate for Dr. rer. pole. PhD. From 1995 to 2012, he was legal advisor in the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces . In 1998 he was promoted to Ministerial Council . He has been Chief Legal Advisor to the Armed Forces Base since 2012 .

He is a member of the extended executive board of the German Society for Military Law and Humanitarian Law and is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Military and Martial Law (since 1994). In 2007 he became President of the Commission for General Affairs. He is also a member of the Clausewitz Society , the International Institute for Humanitarian Law and the White Ring . Poretschkin is the author of a legal commentary on the Soldiers Act (9th edition 2013).

The reserve officer took part in foreign missions of the Bundeswehr u. a. KFOR and Task Force FOX .

He is married and has four children.
