Alexander Tilemann from Heespen

Alexander Tilemann von Heespen (born April 7, 1677 in Oldenburg , † December 26, 1738 in Schleswig ) was a German lawyer in the Danish service.

Life

Alexander Tilemann of Heespen a son was a son of 1686 ennobled Oldenburg Registry Director William of Heespen (1625-1686) and his wife Anna Margaretha, born von Velstein (1648–1704), daughter of the council and district judge Anton Günther von Velstein. The Wuerttemberg and later Gottorfische ambassador Anton Günther von Heespen (around 1655-1723) and the Oldenburg chancellery director in Esens Wilhelm von Heespen (1669-1742) were his brothers.

He attended the Alte Gymnasium in Bremen and studied law at the Universities of Halle and Leipzig . After a grand tour , he joined the Danish administrative service of the duchies of Schleswig-Holstein . In 1704 he became an assessor in the German chancellery in Copenhagen and in 1709 a chancellery. In 1718 he came to the Gottorf High Court as a councilor .

In 1723 he was appointed guardian of the daughters of Duke Joachim Friedrich (Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön) , who died in 1722 .

His first marriage was to Catharina Elisabeth, b. Gensch († 1717), a niece of Christoph Gensch von Breitenau . After her death in 1720 he married Frederike, b. Klingenberg (1699–1755), a daughter of the budget councilor Paul Klingenberg. From the first marriage came the only surviving son Christian Friedrich von Heespen (1717–1776). He inherited the goods Hemmelmark , Tersløsegård ( Tersløse Sogn ), Grünenhof and Blexersande (today part of Nordenham ) and the estate of Gensch von Breitenau.

Alexander Tilemann von Heespen found his final resting place, as did his first wife before him and their children Anna († 1715), Christoph Wilhelm († 1717) and Catharina († 1718), who died early, in the Breitenau chapel in Lübeck's Aegidienkirche .
