Alexandra Lacrabère (born April 27, 1987 in Pau , France ) is a French handball player . She plays for the French first division club CJF Fleury Loiret handball and in the French national handball team .

Career

Lacrabère initially played for the French clubs Bordes Sports Handball and CA Bèglais Handball. In the 2008/09 season, the left-hander was under contract with the Spanish club Akaba Bera Bera, with whom she took part in the EHF Cup . Then Lacrabère returned to France to Toulouse HB. A year later, the backcourt player Arvor 29 joined, with whom she won the French championship in 2012. She then moved to the Russian association Zvezda Zvenigorod. In 2013 she signed a contract with the French first division club Union Mios Biganos / Bègles. In the 2013/14 season, Lacrabère won the top scorer's crown in the French league with 129 goals. In the summer of 2014 she joined OGC Nice . For the 2016/17 season Lacrabère moved to the Macedonian club ŽRK Vardar SCBT . With Vardar, she won the Macedonian Championship and the Macedonian Cup in 2017 and 2018. Since the summer of 2018 she has been under contract with the French first division club CJF Fleury Loiret Handball .

Lacrabère has so far completed 229 games for the French selection. With the French team, she took part in the 2008 Olympic Games and finished in 5th place. She was runner-up at the 2011 World Cup. Lacrabère also took part in the 2006 , 2010 and 2013 European Championships . In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London . She won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . She won the bronze medal at the 2016 European Championships . A year later she won the World Cup in Germany . At the European Championships in 2018 , she won the gold medal in her own country.
