Alexandru Boaba

Alexandru Boabă (born August 17, 1927 in Valea Mare , Priboieni , Argeş district ; † 1995 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian politician of the Romanian Communist Party PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) , who, among other things, between 1965 and 1969 and again from 1970 to 1971 Minister of Oil, Minister of Chemical Industry between 1969 and 1970 and Ambassador to Iran and Oman from 1974 to 1978 .

Life

Engineer and MP

Boabă completed his school education from 1939 to 1947 at the military school in Craiova and was then responsible for sport in the city committee of the then youth association UTM (Uniunea Tineretului Muncitor) in Curtea de Argeș and from March to August 1948 a brigadier building the railway line at Bumbești- Jiu . Minister and Ambassador

In October 1960 Boabă became director of Refinery No. 7 in Brazi and then served between January 18, 1962 and February 7, 1963, Director General of the Ministry of Petroleum and Chemical Industry. He then became Deputy Minister for the Oil and Chemical Industry on February 7, 1963, and on August 21, 1965 took over the newly created office of Oil Minister (Ministrul petrolului) in the third cabinet of Prime Minister Ion Gheorghe Maurer .
