Alexei Michailowitsch Vjatkin ( Russian Алексей Михайлович Вяткин ; born July 25, 1984 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Kazakh ice hockey player who played for various clubs in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Career

Alexei Vjatkin began his career as a hockey player in his Kazakh homeland in the youth department of Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk . At the age of 18, he moved to Russia in 2002. After a year in the second team of HK Lada Tolyatti in the third class Pervaya League , he then played for ZSK WWS Samara , Juschny Ural Orsk , Neftjanik Leninogorsk and Kristall Saratow in the second class Wysschaja Liga . In 2007 he returned to his hometown shortly after the start of the season and also played in the Wysschaja League for his club, now known as Kaszink-Torpedo. In early 2010 he switched to the Kazakh championship for HK Ertis Pawlodar , with whom he became Kazakh runner-up in 2012. After this success he returned to Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk, but in the meantime also played for HK Astana and finally for HK Arystan Temirtau , where he ended his career in 2015.

International

In the junior division, Vyatkin took part in the U18 World Championships in 2001 and 2002 and the U20 World Championship in 2004 in Division I.

Vyatkin played with the Kazakh national team at the World Championships 2008 in Division I. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 .
