Alexei Petrovich Chernov

Alexei Petrovich Chernov ( Russian Алексей Петрович Чернов , born Grusdew , Russian Груздев ; born May 29 jul. / 11. June  1908 greg. In Tomsk , Russian Empire ; † 22. November 1979 in Moscow ) was a Soviet theater - and film - actor .

Life and accomplishments

Tschernow was the son of an accountant († 1911) who worked for the railway administration. His mother embarked on the same professional career from 1934. She was evacuated to Kuibyshev as a result of the German-Soviet War in 1943.

Tschernow attended the eight-class polytechnic high school in his hometown and from 1924 the music school there for two years, where he learned to play the bassoon . From June to December 1926 he worked in agriculture and then until September 1930 at the Tomsk City Theater . He then trained as an actor at the Theater of the Revolution in Moscow under the direction of Alexei Dmitrijewitsch Popov. After graduating in 1934, Chernov stayed there for one season and then moved to the Voronezh Drama Theater , which was to remain his place of work until 1967. Among the most famous pieces with his participation include The auditor of Nikolai Gogol , Молодая гвардия ( Molodaya gvardiia ) by Alexander Fadeyev novel The Young Guard , Depths of Maxim Gorky , Tolstoy's The Power of Darkness , Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov and an adaptation of Sholokhov's territory under the plow . In addition to his active acting career, he was also a senior director at the Volkstheater des Stadtrajons Levobereschny in Voronezh.

The dark-haired mime found the film late. He made his debut in 1964 in a small supporting role in Жили-были старик со старухой ( Schili-byli starik so staruchoi ). This was followed by the two- parter Герой нашего времени ( Geroi haschewo wremeni , 1965–66 ) and the war melodrama Сердце друга ( Serdze druga , 1966), in which Chernov first appeared as the main actor . In 1967 he moved to Moscow and was then regularly present in front of the camera for the Gorky film studio , mostly in the role of the older, charming gentleman. Chernov's filmography includes 35 works, in Трембита ( Trembita , 1968) and Происшествие ( Proisschestwije , 1974) he gave two more lead roles. His work also includes the Seton film The Black Mustang .

Chernov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1952) and People's Artist of the RSFSR (1958). He died at the end of 1978 (according to other sources in 1979) and was buried in Lyubertsy .

Private life

Chernov was with from Ufa coming pianist married Olga Mikhailovna (* 1907). Their son Yuri taught at the Voronezh State University .

He had been a member of the CPSU since 1951 and was elected three times to the Voronezh City Soviet .
