Alfons Fleischmann

Alfons Fleischmann (born May 26, 1907 in Lochmühle near Hilpoltstein , † August 21, 1998 in Eichstätt ) was a Roman Catholic theologian, university professor and founding rector of the Eichstätt comprehensive church, the forerunner of today's Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt .

Life

Alfons Fleischmann studied philosophy and theology in Eichstätt and was ordained a priest in Eichstätt in 1931 . He initially worked as a chaplain in Monheim and Neumarkt and as a religion teacher at Gnadenthal / Ingolstadt Abbey . In 1938 he received his doctorate at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich on the subject of Wilhelm Estius' doctrine of grace and its position on bayanism .

From 1941/42 he worked as ao. Professor, from 1946 as a full professor for moral and pastoral theology at the Episcopal Phil.-Theol. Eichstätt University. From 1958 to 1968 Fleischmann was the bishop's permanent deputy as chancellor of the University of Education, and from 1968 to 1972 as President of the Eichstätt University of Education Foundation. 1972 to 1976 he was the founding rector of the ecclesiastical comprehensive university in Eichstätt, the forerunner of today's Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt . In 1975 he retired.

During his doctoral studies he joined the student association KDStV Aenania Munich in 1936 in the CV . Alfons Fleischmann was CV pastor from 1952 to 1964. From 1968 to 1972 he held the office of CV council and old gentlemen's association, and Alfons Fleischmann was a band philistine of 23 CV and two ÖCV associations .

Alfons Fleischmann Association

In 2011 the "Alfons Fleischmann Association for the Cultural and Scientific Promotion of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt" was founded. This association organizes various events and activities in the vicinity of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.

The Alfons-Fleischmann-Studentenheimverein is supposed to support the construction of student dormitories.
