Alfred Beard Kittredge (* 28. March 1861 in Nelson , Cheshire County , New Hampshire , †  4. May 1911 in Hot Springs , Arkansas ) was an American politician ( Republican Party ), of the state of South Dakota in the US Senate took .

After attending public schools, Alfred Kittredge continued his education at Yale University . He graduated from the Yale Law School in 1882 and graduated from the Yale Law School in 1885 , after which he was admitted to the Bar and began practicing in Sioux Falls , South Dakota's largest city. There his political career began as a member of the State Senate between 1889 and 1891. From 1892 to 1896 he was a member of the Republican National Committee .

After the death of US Senator James H. Kyle Kittredge was appointed his successor in Congress in Washington . He took his seat on the 11 July 1901 and decided the following true-election for themselves, as the re-election in 1903. After this term, he applied unsuccessfully for re-nomination by his party, which instead of I. Coe Crawford went . As a result, he worked again as a lawyer.
