Alfred Schuchart

Alfred Schuchart SAC (born January 6, 1935 in Dingelstädt ) is a German theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1956 at the Limburg an der Lahn municipal high school , he joined the Society of the Catholic Apostolate. He completed his novitiate (1956–1958) in Olpe . After studying (1958-1963) of philosophy and theology at the PTH Vallendar he studied from 1963 to 1968 Pastoral Theology at the University of Würzburg , where in 1969 Dr. theol. received his doctorate . From 1969 to 1974 he was a lecturer in pastoral theology at the PTH Vallendar , where he taught from 1974 until his retirement in 2003 as a professor of pastoral theology. He completed his studies (1978–1983) in pedagogy / andragogy at the University of Münster with the main diploma examination in pedagogy / andragogy. From 1983 to 2003 he was a lecturer in adult education at the PTH Vallendar. From 1973 to 1975 he was a member of the management team of the Theological-Pastoral Institute (TPI) for in-service training, Mainz. From 1976 to 1985 he was a pedagogical assistant at the Institute for Scientific Continuing Education at PTH Vallendar. Since 1985 he has headed the Institute for Scientific Further Education. Since 2003 he has headed the library of the PTH Vallendar.
