Bernard Allen Hurns (born on 12. November 1991 in Miami , Florida is) a US American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He played college football for the University of Miami before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014 as an undrafted free agent . In 2018 he was active for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). He is currently under contract with the Miami Dolphins .

Early years

Hurns attended the Miami Carol City High School , where he practiced athletics in addition to football . As a junior, he caught 23 passes for 450 yards and seven touchdowns . As a senior he only got six pass catches for 110 yards due to injury. Rivals.com rated him as a three-star talent and Scout.com as one of the 100 best wide receivers of his year.

From 2010 to 2013 he was a student at the University of Miami , where he played football for the Miami Hurricanes. He was used in 45 games during this time and scored 121 passes for 1,891 yards and 14 touchdowns. As a senior, he set a new school record for yards trapped (1,162) and was named the Hurricanes' Most Valuable Player .

NFL

Hurns was not selected by any of the 32 teams in the 2014 NFL Draft , but the Jacksonville Jaguars subsequently hired him as a free agent . He made his NFL debut on September 7, 2014 against the Philadelphia Eagles , when he was the second player in NFL history to score touchdowns with his first two pass catches. In addition, he was the first rookie to catch two touchdowns in the first quarter of his first game. He finished the season with 51 passes caught for 677 yards and 6 touchdowns.

The 2015 season was his most successful to date; 64 pass catches for 1031 yards and 10 touchdowns mean the best marks in his career to date (as of March 2019). 115 pass catches for 1,708 yards and 16 touchdowns were not only new records for an undrafted free agent for the first two seasons in the NFL, but also earned him a new four-year contract worth $ 40 million with a guaranteed salary of up to $ 20 million .

In the following years he was no longer able to build on these achievements. On March 20, 2018, he was released from the Jaguars.

Just three days later, on March 23, 2018, the NFL announced that Allen Hurns had been signed by the Dallas Cowboys . He signed a two-year contract for $ 12 million. In July 2019, he was fired by the cowboys. On July 26, 2019, Hurns was signed by the Dolphins.
