Allen Victor Lee Williams III. (* before 1976) is an American actor .

Life

Williams began his career in the mid-1970s. After guest roles in series such as The Streets of San Francisco and Detective Rockford - a call is enough , he got the role of Adam Wilson in the series Lou Grant in 1977 , which he played in 64 of the 114 episodes. Although he only appeared in a little more than half of the episodes, he was seen in the opening credits, albeit without naming his name. He remained a busy television actor after the series ended, appearing in a variety of series formats. He has appeared in crime series such as TJ Hooker and Simon & Simon , sitcoms such as Cheers and the soap operas Under the California Sun and Time of Longing .

Williams rarely played in feature film productions and had only minor supporting roles in his few appearances. He has appeared in Peter Bogdanovich's comedy film Nickelodeon , in the science fiction film Meteor , in the satire Welcome Mr. Chance and in the thriller Against Every Chance .

Williams is twice divorced and has three children from his first marriage.
