Everything will be fine is a German-language short film by Patrick Vollrath . In 2015 he was invited to the short film competition of the “Semaine de la Critique” in Cannes . He also won the bronze in 2015 Student Oscar , the Max Ophüls Prize in 2015, the First Steps Award and the Austrian Film Award for Best Short Film. It was also nominated for an Oscar for best short film . The film is Vollrath's thesis at the Vienna Film Academy . On the occasion of the presentation of the Austrian Film Prize on January 20, Alles wird gut had its TV premiere on ORF III .

Like every other weekend, Michael stands in front of his ex-wife's house and picks up his eight-year-old daughter Lea. Michael has an emergency passport issued for Lea so that she can then fly to Manila without her mother's knowledge . Since the flight is canceled, the departure is postponed to the next day. The two spend the night in the airport hotel, from where Lea secretly contacts her mother. In the morning, the hotel room is stormed by the police and Lea is reunited with her mother.
