Christina Scherrer

Christina Scherrer (born May 24, 1987 in Pfarrkirchen im Mühlkreis ) is an Austrian actress and singer .

Life

Christina Scherrer received violin, dance and classical singing lessons, from 2003 to 2005 she trained in musicals and theater at the Landesmusikschule Puchenau . After graduating from the Bundesrealgymnasium in Rohrbach , she studied acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz from 2005 to 2009 . During her studies, she worked with director Sabine Mitterecker for the first time in 2008 in the play Zugvögel , under whose direction she was again seen in Schatten (Eurydike says) by Elfriede Jelinek in 2016.

For example, Scherrer had title roles in 2008 in the musical Snow White by Robert Persché at Orpheum Graz , in 2011 in Die kleine Hexe at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen and in 2014 in the Dschungel Wien in the world premiere of the play Malala by Florian Staffelmayr. She had other engagements at the Schauspielhaus Wien , the Schauspielhaus Graz , the Theater in der Drachengasse , the Werk X , with progetto semiserio in collaboration with the Wiener Festwochen and at the Nestroyhof Hamakom Theater . In The Imaginary Sick (newly prescribed) at the Wiener Lustspielhaus with Adi Hirschal in the title role, she played his daughter Angi in the summer of 2018.

She also writes and produces musical solo and duo programs. For her second solo program BarbieDoll , she received the start-up grant from the Federal Ministry for Education, Art and Culture (BMUKK) in 2010 . Since 2015 she has been working with the musician Andrej Prozorov , with whom she founded the band Scherrer & Prozorov . Scherrer is responsible for the lyrics and the vocals, Prozorov for the arrangements and compositions. In autumn 2016 they took second place at the Troubadour Chanson & Lied Competition in Stuttgart .
