The Allgeier is the management holding company of an international technology group in the field of IT - and personnel services . Its headquarters are in Munich . The group is represented with around one hundred and twenty branches in German-speaking countries as well as in another 25 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and North America. The group has around 6,500 software developers at its locations in India, China and Eastern Europe. The main focus of business activity is system integration , including, above all, services for standard business solutions from Microsoft , SAP , IBM and Oracle for customer companies in the Allgeier “Enterprise Services” division. In the 2010s, the group expanded its IT consulting area with "mgm technology partners" and, after taking over the American software developer Nagarro Inc. in 2011, above all expanded the development and sale of individual software solutions to become main business areas. Another business area is the temporary employment and placement of freelancers in the "Allgeier Experts" division. In July 2018, the group announced that the “Allgeier Experts” division would be separated and made independent. In September 2019, the group announced that it would no longer pursue this goal and would instead seek to make the technology division, in which the global software development business is bundled, independent.

The company was founded in 1977 by Robert Allgeier sen. Allgeier Computer GmbH founded in Bremen , which was converted to Allgeier Computer AG in 1998 and relocated to Munich. In order to take into account the changed role of the founding company after numerous company acquisitions and reorganizations, the name was changed to Allgeier Holding AG in 2003 . In May 2012 the holding company was converted into a European company and has been operating as Allgeier SE ever since .

In 1977 Robert Allgeier sen. and the BOG Bremen office organization-GmbH , the Allgeier Computer GmbH , based in Bremen. Subsidiaries were founded in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England and the United States in the 1980s.

On May 19, 1998, the previous GmbH was renamed Allgeier Computer AG . In November 1999 Allgeier took over the Bremen-based software developer for e-commerce solutions, axol IT communications company . With effect from December 16 of the same year, the founding company and sole shareholder BOG Bremen Büro-Organization-GmbH merged with Allgeier Computer AG . In 2011 Allgeier took over the US software developer Nagarro Inc. and the IT solution provider Gemed Gesellschaft für medical data management mbH . In February 2012, the majority acquisition of Skytec AG , a provider of IT services for the automotive sector, followed.

In May 2012, Allgeier took over b + m Informatik AG and in August tecops personal GmbH . Then the "TOPjects", "Softcon" and "Xiopia" units were integrated into the "Allgeier Services" division. In February 2017, Allgeier announced the acquisition of several European subsidiaries of the US IT consulting company Ciber Inc. In the course of this, Allgeier took over the German SAP consulting companies Ciber AG based in Heidelberg and Ciber Managed Services GmbH based in Freiburg, as well as Ciber France SAS based in Entzheim, France, and essential parts of the operational business of the Danish subsidiary Ciber Danmark A / S based in Brøndby.

On June 8, 2018, Allgeier announced the acquisition of Objectiva Software Solutions, Inc. (San Diego, USA). Objectiva specializes in software development solutions and cross-platform technology implementation, particularly in the area of ​​e-commerce and content. According to Allgeier's publication, the company has an excellent customer base in the US market, from independent software manufacturers financed by private equity to Fortune 100 companies. In addition to the US locations in San Diego and Seattle, Objectiva has an additional sales network in the greater Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis and Boston areas. Objectiva also has two Chinese software development centers in Beijing and Xi'an with around 450 highly qualified developers.

In August 2018, Allgeier took over around 67% of the international software development company iQuest. iQuest is an international software company with around 700 highly qualified employees who work in the development centers in Cluj, Bucharest, Sibiu, Brasov and Craiova in Romania as well as at the other locations in Germany, Switzerland and Poland.

On January 31, 2019, the company announced that the "Allgeier Experts" personnel services division would be spun off from the group and that it would be listed on the stock exchange in 2019.

On September 12, 2019, the group announced that it would no longer pursue the goal of outsourcing the HR services division. Instead, the aim is to make the technology division independent, in which the global software development business is bundled.
