Allison Bradshaw (born November 14, 1980 in San Diego , California ) is a former American tennis player .

Life

Bradshow's mother Valerie Ziegenfuss , who was also a tennis player, was one of a group of players who pitted against the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in 1970 over payment . In the end, this led to the creation of a professional tour (WTA).

Bradshaw began playing tennis at the age of six. In 1998, Allison Bradshaw successfully graduated from high school.

Bradshaw first appeared on the pro tour in 1999, when she played the San Diego qualifiers but lost to Anke Huber . In the following year she played mainly on the satellite tour, but also again in the qualification in San Diego. This time she lost in the second round to Anne Kremer from Luxembourg. At the WTA tournament in Philadelphia , she lost in qualifying against Gréta Arn .

Equipped with a wildcard, Bradshaw entered the US Open for the first time in 2000 . In the first round she won against Sarah Pitkowski and in the second round against Marissa Irvin , before losing 6: 7, 0: 6 against Arantxa Sánchez Vicario .
