geography

course

The Almersbach rises southeast of the hamlet of Herpteroth in a meadow at an altitude of about 325  m above sea level. NN .

The stream flows through Herpteroth (height 310 m) and flows through the forest west of Gieleroth in a north-westerly direction . At this height, two more spring brooks flow, which arise on the western outskirts of Gieleroth. The course of the stream crosses the municipality of Amteroth and flows through the Altenkirchen state forest between Oberwambach, Amteroth and Altenkirchen; south of the Anwand hill, it reaches a height of 249  m above sea level. NN . The Almersbach then follows the course of the Johannistal (below the Johannisberg or the Dorn ). The course of the stream then follows the K 32 (between Almersbach and Oberwambach ), passes under the L 267 (between Altenkirchen and Puderbach) near the intersection (height 221  m above sea level ) and flows through the center of the village at the sports field.

It finally flows into the Wied on the northern edge of the village of Almersbach below the Evangelical Parish Church of Almersbach .
